House Rules
- Visitors must adhere to the provisions of these House Rules while on the cinema premises. By entering or remaining on the cinema premises, or by purchasing or reserving a ticket, visitors accept and acknowledge these House Rules as binding upon themselves. Visitors are responsible for minors and other persons of diminished capacity under their supervision and are obliged to inform them of the cinema's House Rules in a timely manner.

- The cinema does not assume responsibility for the accuracy of programme information published on media platforms not operated by Budapest Film Zrt., nor for any inconvenience or damages caused by any potentially false, inaccurate, or erroneous information not originating from the cinemas of Budapest Film Zrt.
- Ticket details, including the selected performance and seat, can be checked and verified upon collection. No complaints will be accepted after leaving the box office counter.
- For tickets purchased through the online ticketing system, the rules concerning the right of withdrawal as stated in the online ticket purchase terms and conditions shall apply: In accordance with Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.), § 29 (1) a) and l), the visitor may not exercise their right of withdrawal, considering that the film screening constitutes a leisure-related service for a specific date or period of performance chosen by the consumer and confirmed by the Service Provider.
- If a visitor wishes to return a ticket previously purchased at the cinema box office, the Service Provider is entitled, but not obliged, to process such a request if it is made at the cinema box office at least 30 minutes before the advertised start time of the screening.
- We are unable to provide change for large banknotes at the box office.
- Entry to the auditoriums is permitted only with a valid ticket, and visitors may remain inside until the end of the performance at the latest. Entry to the screening room is generally permitted 5 minutes before the start of the performance, unless otherwise instructed by cinema staff. Standing tickets are not available for performances, extra seats cannot be added, and sitting on the stairs or on the floor is prohibited.
- In the event a performance is interrupted or cancelled (due to technical failure, power outage, bomb threat, natural disasters, force majeure, etc.), our staff will endeavor to inform visitors of their options. Unless otherwise specified by our staff, the cinema will issue a "Compensation Voucher" after the performance upon presentation of a valid ticket for the affected screening. Only those with valid tickets for the affected performances are eligible. This voucher can be exchanged for a ticket to any public screening at the given cinema's box office until the expiry date indicated on the voucher.
- Please report any technical issues noticed during the performance to our staff immediately so that we can resolve the problem as soon as possible. Complaints regarding the screening quality (sound or image issues) or the behaviour of other audience members can be investigated until the end of the film. We are unable to accept complaints after the fact.
- The service provider reserves the right to make changes to the programme.
- We are not permitted to serve persons under the age of 18 with alcoholic beverages, energy drinks, or any other products whose sale to minors is prohibited by law.
- With the exception of screenings specifically advertised for children under 3, children under the age of 3 are not permitted to attend cinema performances, even with parental supervision.
- Hungarian law requires that films distributed in Hungary be assigned an age rating. Our staff may draw attention to age restrictions but cannot compel our viewers to adhere to them; the responsibility lies with the accompanying parent or guardian.
- In the case of films containing pornographic content, content that depicts sexuality for its own sake, or content that promotes or portrays deviation from self-identity corresponding to sex at birth, sex change, or homosexuality, as defined in Act XXXI of 1997 on the Protection of Children and on Guardianship Administration, § 6/A, only visitors who can prove they are over the age of 18 by presenting a valid photo ID will be admitted to the screening.
- Individuals who disturb the performance, other guests, or cinema staff with inappropriate behaviour (e.g., loud noise, aggressive conduct) or by any other means (disorderly, dirty, or incomplete clothing; intoxicated or otherwise impaired state; disorderly conduct; begging, etc.) may be asked by cinema staff to leave the premises/auditorium immediately, even if they hold a valid ticket. We will not serve individuals who are intoxicated or have a disorderly appearance with tickets or concession items, and we may deny them entry to the screening even if they have a valid ticket.
- By accepting these House Rules, the guest acknowledges that they may only use the cinema's furniture and restrooms for their intended purpose. Auditorium seats and sofas are for sitting – lying down, placing feet on them, or adopting any posture that may disturb the comfort of others or damage the furnishings is prohibited. Restrooms are to be used exclusively for washing hands and face. In case of any damage, hygiene violation, or behaviour that disturbs others, the cinema staff is entitled to ask the guest to leave the premises and may hold them liable for damages.
- Use of the restrooms is free of charge and is reserved for guests holding a valid ticket or consuming items on the cinema premises. If someone uses the restrooms improperly or disturbs other guests in the manner mentioned above, our staff may ask them to leave immediately.
- Areas of the cinema closed to the public may only be accessed by cinema staff, with the exception of emergency escape routes in an emergency. The cinema will press charges for trespassing against unauthorized intruders.
- In case of an emergency (e.g., bomb threat, fire, natural disaster), visitors must follow the instructions of our staff and adhere to all regulations.
- Only food and beverages purchased at the cinema's own concession stand or café (with the exception of Puskin cinema) may be brought onto the cinema premises. Bringing in food and beverages from external sources is strictly prohibited throughout the entire cinema, including the auditoriums.
- In the case of a cancelled performance or a voided (cancelled) cinema ticket, we are unable to refund the price of purchased concession or café items.
- Should any complaint arise concerning concession products, it must be reported in person to the cinema staff at the concession stand before the end of the performance and during the stand's opening hours. The product in question and the proof of purchase (receipt) must be submitted simultaneously, so we can verify the validity of the complaint after inspecting the product. Otherwise, the complaint will be rejected.
- Plates, cups, and glass tumblers are not allowed in the auditoriums.
- The chairs and tables in the cinema lobby are reserved for guests waiting for their screening and for those consuming items from our food and beverage outlets.
- Any unauthorized commercial, sales (vending, etc.), or promotional activities (distributing or displaying products, flyers) are prohibited on the cinema premises.
- Smoking is prohibited throughout the entire cinema.
- Bicycles, scooters, and other non-motorized and motorized vehicles are not allowed on the cinema premises.
- Guests using wheelchairs are kindly asked to inquire about accessibility to the auditorium before purchasing tickets.
- Escape routes must be kept clear at all times!
- The use of cameras or any other video or audio recording devices is prohibited in the auditoriums. It is forbidden to make recordings (even partial) of the films screened, including their visual or audio content. Visitors who violate the copyright laws in force in Hungary will be removed from the premises by cinema staff, and the cinema will file a police report against them.
- Recording or filming of any kind (audio or visual) is only permitted on the cinema premises with prior authorization.
- A CCTV system operates on the cinema premises. The cinema may record and store footage in compliance with data protection regulations. The cinema may use these recordings to protect its property and to prove damages. Recordings will only be released or shown to private individuals upon official request from the authorities.
- By entering the cinema, guests agree that they may be photographed and/or filmed, and that Budapest Film Zrt. may use these images on its online and social media platforms.
- The cinema assumes no liability for any damage or injury caused to a visitor by another visitor.
- All visitors enter the cinema at their own risk.
- The use of mobile phones is prohibited during the performance. Violators may be asked by cinema staff to leave the auditorium immediately.
- Dogs are permitted on the cinema premises. Their owners are fully responsible for any damage caused by their pets, whether to Budapest Film Zrt. or to other persons or visitors, and are liable for any injuries caused by their animal. Dogs may only be brought onto the premises if they are house-trained, on a leash, and wearing a muzzle (or another physical device that prevents biting). It is strictly forbidden to allow dogs on the seats; they may only be positioned on the stairs or in the aisles. A ticket is not required for dogs. If a dog disturbs the performance, it must leave the auditorium with its owner. In such cases, the ticket price cannot be refunded.
- It is forbidden to bring any object onto the cinema premises that, in the judgment of the cinema staff, violates or endangers public safety, may cause fear or alarm among other visitors, or may otherwise disturb or limit the enjoyment of other visitors.
- The cinema assumes no responsibility for valuables brought onto, lost, or left behind on the premises.
- The customer complaints book is available upon request at the box office.
- For matters not regulated in these House Rules or in other published policies and conditions of Budapest Film Zrt., the provisions of the effective Hungarian laws shall apply. The cinema reserves the right to change the House Rules.
- Budapest Film Zrt., the operator of the cinema, maintains a customer service telephone line for visitors, available every day from 13:00 to 21:00 at the central number +36-1-224-5650. Written comments can be submitted via email to jegyvasarlas@bpfilm.hu. The registered office of Budapest Film Zrt. is 1082 Budapest, Corvin köz 1., which is also the location for complaint handling. Complaints can be made verbally or in writing through the customer service contacts listed above. Budapest Film Zrt. will investigate verbal complaints immediately and remedy them as necessary. If the consumer disagrees with the handling of the complaint, or if an immediate investigation is not possible, Budapest Film Zrt. will promptly draw up a record of the complaint and its position on it. A copy will be given to the consumer on the spot for verbal complaints made in person, or sent to the consumer no later than with the substantive reply within 30 days of the complaint for verbal complaints made by telephone or other electronic communication services. For written complaints, Budapest Film Zrt. will provide a substantive written response within 30 days of receipt. In case of consumer disputes, the consumer may turn to the conciliation body competent according to their place of residence or stay. This right of the consumers does not affect their right to turn to a court in case of a legal dispute.
